I think it's about us changing and bending laws as we need for it.. They aren't used for prohibiting stuff like killing others anymore, just for getting money to the government.. It's not like that today, but you just sit back and wait, the day will come when this happens, also what he says: "I´m changed by the shock and the weight of the punch" Where "the punch" could be the shock of realising this. |

clearly it's about lazyness. The "in my world, the day is no threat in my world, there is an absence of light 'genetic superiour cell'" part seems to be about sci-fi to me but as any In Flames freak knows: The lyrics are interpretted as you wish them to.. |

damn I love these lyrics... It's about hell, saying he has been there, "I saw the gates of hell open wide", "I lead you to that place" where he leads someone else there really cool lyrics and great guitars! And I am aware of the spelling mistakes. Sorry! hail, Toxik. |

I don't think it has to do with drugs really.. I think it's about him starting over as a new person and doesn't want to look back, but In Flames song really doesn't have a real definition, one interpret it as one wants. cheers, Toxik. |

I surprised me that not many In Flames fan diggs this song as much as The Quit Place as I think this is the best one they made, everyone seem to hear it as a loud and noisy black death metal song or sumthn, well I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it. especially the guitarrs between "Gather the faithful and propose a toast to the epoch of indifference" and "An all to ordinary story", that's like fucking flooding my veins with adrenaline, man I love metal ;> greets, Toxik. |

I couldn't care to read all comments so someone probably stated this: The new albums (any after The Jesters Race or Colony, wichever was latter) are NOT better then the older ones. Sure, they fall the common metaller on the tounge, but if you liked the old In Flames you probably wont like the new songs, with a few exceptions (like me). I would like anyone who doesn't agree to compare all Colony tracks with Reroute To Remain tracks. Sure they are good on R2R, but Colony > R2R (as in Colony -mathematical sign for Great then- R2R). So, there are a shitload of new fans, wich likes the new style more then the old - REMEBER: In Flames got famous because of their *GITAR* not their lyrics nor their vocals (Anders isn't really old in the band), Strömblad (gitars) still has talent, but the new style doesn't really show it all that much I agree with Juddc, as I listen to Sonata Arctica myself (and alot of other you mentioned). But before you lads go making a war over it: Remember it's about taste not what's good or bad - since good or bad depends on taste. cheers, Toxik. |

Ah, the In Flames sound is indeed untouchable, this owns (like any In Flames track ;)) Well I've been seing that In Flames wants to reconstruct the worl latley, I seen two to three songs saying that the world should be undergo an Extreme Makeover... This adds one to the collections, I don't think the lyrics are all that speciall but HELL THE GUITAR OWNS MAN!! yours truley, Toxik. |

Agree totally with Rumaru says, Whoracle and Colony were one thing, but from Reroute To Remain and on they got a new 'style', wich I still like but the old style were just as good, imo that is. System isn't about the "System" itself, I think it's more about how someone doesn't live like the rest of the everyday-people and saying "your world does not attract me" meaning that he isn't really intending to get to be a everday-man. |

| to be REAL honest I don't like the lyrics alot of In Flames tracks, they're getting more and more anarchy for each year, but the sound (aka. Göteborgs Soundet in Sweden) is untouchable, and wich is why In Flames got famous in the first place (Whoracle album - no vocalist ;) | |

emo_bah Go drown yourself. Ueley, that is entirely right See the Rejection Role (Soilwork) movie and you'll notice it's an exact copy only that In Flames and Soilwork swapped places, as in In Flames standing at back of the crowd, I have absolutley no idea what it's about tho, probably emo_bah were right at one part but Anders being a buddhism wannabe.. eh, that's why he should drown himself. have a nice day. |
