| Lupe Fiasco – Little Weapon Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think it's criticizing kids' usage of guns, real guns and in video games, thinking they're cool, and trying to act tough, hence the "Think you gangsta, popped a few rounds? The kids'll come through and murder a whole town," line; and none of them realize, that while to them, playing killing video games is fun and shooting people irl is a means to look cool and tough, in Africa and the Middle East, this is a way of life for kids, who were thrust into this lifestyle from a young age, never given a choice to live the life they are living. I think it's calling on people to think twice about the casual way in which we treat guns in video games, when there are such atrocities occurring in real life with the same weapons we use on our tv screen to have fun. |

| Buckcherry – Sorry Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Surprised no one's mentioned this before, but when I first heard this song, I honestly thought it was some crappy remake of Switchfoot's Meant to Live. The line "'Cause everything inside, it never comes out right" is more or less identical to "And everything inside screams for second life " from Meant to Live. The melody is already very, very similar, and then the repetition of "everything inside" makes it even worse. Only difference is that the second part of Switchfoot's line is way less contrived than Buckcherry's. |

| Paramore – Misery Business Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Argh, this song annoys me. It's catchy, but it's one of the few songs where, despite its catchiness, the lyrics prevent me from really liking it. First off, the line "once a whore, you're nothing more, sorry that'll never change." Can we say immature? Geez. And the part that truly irritates me: Why the hell are you heaping the blame on the girl? She wanted him, she went after him, and your guy MADE A CHOICE, using his free will, to get with her, meaning he chose her BY HIMSELF over you. Maybe it makes you feel better to put the blame on the girl for "stealing" him from you, but apparently he liked the other girl more than he did you at the time, and made the decision himself to be with her. He is the tie between you and the other girl. The other girl, the supposed "whore" doesn't know you (or at least it doesn't seem like it from this song), and has no reason to consider you or your feelings in going after the guy. The guy, being the one with the connection to the "whore" and the one who wrote the song, is the one who should shoulder all the blame, as he is the one is responsible for making the girl feel like shit and hurting her feelings. I hate this thing that a lot of girls I've encountered do, where the guy they like can do no wrong, but their girlfriends are the devil. |

Hate this song so much. 'I'm cheating on my boyfriend and am having lots of awesome sex with this other guy on the side, but until my boyfriend found out about it and felt bad, I didn't really care, but now that he does know, I feel bad too because I'm a selfish bitch. I want you to feel bad for me because sleeping with two guys is just so hard. I don't know what to do. The answer couldn't possibly be to break up with the guy I'm cheating on since I don't love him because that would just be too simple. Instead, I will continue to string him on and pretend that everything is all right while both of us die a little inside everyday because apparently this alternative is better than just telling him the truth and letting him get over me and move on.' I simply can't believe we are supposed to feel sorry for her. |

| The Dresden Dolls – Shores of California Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think most people realize what the lyrics are trying to say, hanstangerine; most of the discussion is about whether or not the song is gender stereotyping by lumping all women into the "romantics" category, and grouping men into the "sex-craved fanatics" category, which led others to point out that maybe the lyrics are supposed to be sarcastic. | |
| Akon – Don't Matter Lyrics | 18 years ago |

blatant ripoff first thing I thought of when I heard this song. You can sing the verses of Ignition right over this song and it fits perfectly. |

one of my favorites from the new cd, so far billy should help out with the song writing more; this one and ghost of you are really good |
|
| Good Charlotte – All Black Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"this song is about joel being black " lmao :D i don't get this song is he being sarcastic? trying to show how other people view him? the rest of the song sounds like it could be serious, but the funeral line makes it sound more sarcastic. |

| Shiny Toy Guns – We Are Pilots Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think it's quite clear that this is about unaccepting parents, but I don't see anything that points specifically at homosexuality. I think it's basically describing any child that goes against their parent's wishes or does something that they don't accept, which would include being gay. I think the swords beneath the clean dress represent her rebellious nature underneath the 'prim and proper' exterior that she puts on for her parents. |

| Good Charlotte – The River Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think prodical is actually 'prodigal' since prodical isn't a word. Also, in the second verse with the A7X guy, 'mother' and 'father' should be switched around. And I think it may be 405 instead of 45 because I know 405 is a big highway in LA; I'm not sure about that one though. But I really like this song; it's quite catchy. The only part I don't really like is that it focuses so much on their faith. This is somewhat new since most of their previous songs, excluding It Wasn't Enough, don't focus this much on their religion. |

| Good Charlotte – Keep Your Hands Off My Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I hated this song the first time I heard it, but now I think it's sort of catchy. The lyrics are less than impressive. =\ The "Ahhh haaa's" are super annoying. And I think it's "Dior bags," not Dion bags. |

| Cobra Starship – Bring It (Snakes on a Plane) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think in the last part where Travis is talking, he says "We seem to be losing altitude at an alarming pace Midtown downtown Snakes on a blog I suggest you grab your ankles and kiss your ass goodbye." |
|
| Lindsay Lohan – Ultimate Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
In the second verse, she sings "I wanna do to you what you do to me" instead of "You took my heart and put it back together again." I think the second one comes up in the edited versions, but the original has the first line. |

| The Used – Sometimes I Just Go For It Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I loove this song. But I got the sheet music and played it so much that I'm kinda sick of it now. =( I agree with SoakedinMercury about how it seems kinda unbelievable that he played it in one shot. that seems like a really difficult thing to do. the song is too pretty. But if he did, then it just makes the song even more amazing. |

| Lola Ray – This House [feat. Jung Kim] Lyrics | 20 years ago |

"and my hat is cancerous." hehe It sounds like.. Estelle. hah. I don't know. I don't really like the female vocals, or at least how much louder they seem over John's voice. I don't like the way she says 'not' in the second "I will not move." |

| Lola Ray – Officer And A Gentleman Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| When did you submit these lyrics? I submitted a long time ago, and they never showed up. but then all the lola ray lyrics seem to have showed up after people got the cd's today. | |

| Fall Out Boy – Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part to Save the Scene and Stop Going to Shows) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Yesss, it sounded so much like The Used's spoken thing too. Like, the way it kinda builds up to the end when he screams. [does Pete scream in the end? I don't remember] Anywaay, I like the song. But. I think the screaming part .. like when they alternate the voices for every word sounds a bit strange. It'll probably grow on me if I listen to it more. |
|
| Lola Ray – Our Brown Friends Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think it's about how the government is so quick to point fingers at others when they themselves are the ones who are causing the problems, but they're trying to cover it up by blaming it on others, like the minorities, I guess. But I think wiretapscars' explanation makes more sense than mine does. I don't understand the 'what's got eight legs .. staring at his jesus' part. I'm guessing he's talking about America again, but then I don't get the eight legs part. Is he .. comparing America to a spider? aha. I don't know. |

| My Chemical Romance – I Never Told You What I Do For a Living Lyrics | 21 years ago |

HAHA I feel stupid. I heard a few lines and thought this song was for the fans or something. "Another night and ill see you ... It ain't the money and it sure as hell ain't just for the fame It's for the bodies I claim" Everyone else's interpretations make more sense. XD |
|
| Ciara – 1, 2 Step Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
"I used to think the part that goes "strut my stuff and yes I flaunt it" was actually "strut my stuff and yes I farted"." HAHA, that's what I thought too! I don't see how hearing the wrong thing is in any way immature.. As Missy or whoever the voice is at the end said, this song is for the "hearing impaired." |

AHH, this is an amazing song, and no matter how many times I listen to, I don't get sick of it. The Used kick major ass. |
|
| Good Charlotte – It Wasn't Enough Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I think that this song is basically about how he used to have strong faith in God, but now his faith is starting to wear thin and he's having a hard time believing because God hasn't been answering his prayers. | |
| Good Charlotte – We Believe Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I love this song so much. The second verse rocks. <3 | |
| Good Charlotte – Mountain Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Hm. Benji says this song is about their fans and how they'd be nothing if it weren't for them. But I don't quite understand the "I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now" part. |
|
| Good Charlotte – I Just Wanna Live Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Um. This song is ok, I guess. The chorus is awful. They sound like Justin Timberlake wannabe's. As for the song, I think it would be ok if they hadn't aleady put out Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous. I mean, they talk about Lifestyles in I Just Wanna Live, and they're being all mocking-ish and saying "aren't you ashamed," but they should be. I mean, here they are doing everything they accused celebrities of doing, and now they're making a song complaining about it? In Lifestyles, they talk about celebrities having so much money, but still bitching about everything, which is exactly what they're doing. They're complaining about having no privacy... "Fake ass girls all know your name"..? They should be flattered by the attention. I mean, sure they're allowed to get annoyed by all the annoying girls who get a bit over obsessed and go around squealing that they're going to be Joel's or Billy's future wife, but, hey, those girls make up a big part of their fanbase, and I think it's really rude to go and insult your fans in the cd that they're all wasting their money on buying. Gah. Ok.. I didn't even know I thought half of this stuff until I started writing this comment thing. Okay, bye bye! | |
