| Fear Factory – A Therapy For Pain Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's about dying, or at least wanting to die and welcoming the figure of death in. Not knowing that it was not death at all, but an angel come to pull him from his place of woe, and save him from his misery. | |

This song is about corruption of innocence, and how power can be corrosive without even realizing it. In the beginning it starts out so simple, the things that gave him pride were small and mostly insiginificant. Then it seems that the subject is suddenly swept up by how quickly his situation changes, and his accomplishments quickly grow in magnitude. Before he even realizes it, he has the world at his command and he isn't aware of his own 'strenght'. It's a song about growing up too fast, being given too much power too quickly, and not knowing what to do with it. Then when it's all over, it seems he's remembering when everything was so much simpler, and he only cared about being able to ride his bike with no handlebars. It's a warning. Don't force your kids to grow up too quickly. |

Being that I really hate the fact that almost any song can be construed as related to drugs in some way, I'm going to take a different approach. This song is rather simple to me. It's about a guy wanting to show a girl how much he really cares for and loves her, but ends up smothering her or hurting her in the process of loving her too much. He's probably screwed up, and did something to make her question her feelings for him. She's probably even moved on and gotten herself a different guy to be with. Recall the lyrics to 156. "You are just... like an avalanche.. but at least I'm covered up for now." Snowbrigade - maybe he's trying to combat that, and become a stronger, better person for the girl that he loves. "Know that there is no escape from my snowbrigade" -- his way of saying he's going to fix everything that he screwed up. "I don't care for you Like I'm really supposed to There are things I'll do That could really hurt you Don't you just love goodbyes?" To me, this song is a direct response to 156, and his resolve to fix the things that went wrong. |

Correct lyrics.. In these words that crash my ears I'll now stomach this in fear With the turn, I gathered name as the bastard's son Who, by fire I would come Through this wire on my coat Atop this tower of loss and lies I gravitate towards you I will, in the now, hate you. I'll make you wish You hadn't burned our time before I'll live through this In a manner cursed at my own accord If my shame spills our worth across this floor Then tonight, goodnight. I'm burning star IV. Only I don't even think of you No, I don't wanna think of you anymore Goodnight, Tonight. Goodbye Goodnight, Tonight. Goodbye. In my presence you might make Through this fiction I must fake Your death to grace the face of my character With these lessons he might learn All the worlds from here must burn For as god demands in the end, we miss. If my shame spills our worth across this floor. Then tonight, goodnight. I'm burning star IV. Only I don't even think of you No, I don't wanna think of you anymore Goodnight, Tonight. Goodbye Goodnight, Tonight. Goodbye. -- There is no room for mistakes my children, for as I have been told -- today is the day I die. I'm sorry I never played the part as your father, and from the looks on your faces... it seems that's all you ever asked of me. It's time for you to go into the worlds alone. With all of my love, I'm sorry. I love you. I love you all so very much. -- I'll make you wish You hadn't burned our time before I'll live through this In a manner cursed at my own accord (I don't wanna go) So come on bitch why aren't you laughing now? (You left me here to fend on my own) So cry on bitch, why aren't you laughing now? If my shame spills our worth across this floor Then tonight, goodnight. I'm burning star IV. Only I don't even think of you No, I don't wanna think of you anymore Goodnight, tonight. Goodbye Goodnight, tonight. Goodbye. Only I don't even think of you No girl, I don't wanna think of you anymore Goodnight, Tonight, Goodbye Goodnight, Tonight, Goodbye. |

Personally I always thought the song was about about a mother who's child had a drug addiction and the mother asking them "What's in your head?" during the chorus. Basically asking them why they thought they needed to do the drugs in the first place. The result from doing the drugs - A Zombie. "In your head they're still fighting" Your emotions are at war and so is your body against the drug. "In your head they are dying" Your brain, mind, thoughts, feelings ect. To make you a Zombie. |

anthema - Synonym: exanthema. Origin: G. Anthein, to blossom The song seems very simple. First a marriage in happyness and a child, then the marriage turns sour and the children are caught in the amidst the turmoil. The title is fitting, because of what the children could blossom into because of this situation, as they seem to be the focus of the song. |
