Obviously time in rehab made Dave reflect on his life and enable him to see his addiction in a new light. One thing I love about Dave is that he is brutally honest. I don't think Dave wanted to OD, the lyrics "one last shot" refer to the junkies eternal line one last shot and I will get help...I always thought that the line was morphine only lies, monkey sounds a bit strange? |

I think this song reflects the society we live in-too eagar to fit in, scared to be honest, scared to be alone. Dave may be reflecting on his failed relationships and wanting some closure. I think the lyrics above are incorrect as in one of the choruses it actually says "Sleeping alone" instead of living alone... |

this song makes me sad sometimes. I think it reflects on how his girlfriend was unhappy, and her misery drove her to drugs, which led to overdose or suicide. Very sad. A lovely classic early Bon Scott song though. Love those bluesy guitars! |
