I BELIEVE this is what is said during that "mumbo jumbo" near the end of the song, when there are just random people talking. Please correct me if you believe I am incorrect, but i listened to it over and over and I'm pretty sure most of it is right: I’m molly, and when I grow up, I’m going to have an academy award…at least 2. Every morning when I have that feeling and its kind of (maybe?) and I’ve always imagined since I’m little that the leaves were on the bottom of my toes walking on the leaves. And I sometimes (they?) swallow me up (affectionately??) (kids laughing and playing) My name’s Amanda, and when I get older… I’m Tim, From Arkansas. Love Jesus. Got 3 Kids. Married 21 years. Names Garden…this is important whatever you do, please, please (don’t know here) ..and like we wake up, and Molly’s like “Oh, its 8:45, we’ve been passed out for like 25 minutes.” And then like, she hits her like watch again and it was the stop watch. And then we went to the real time and it was like 2 AM in the morning. We both passed out naked in my house for like 4 hours. 4 hours. After we fucked and we threw up. (Molly says here: “Actually it was 6 hours.” ) It wasn’t 6 hours. That was the best. Mollys naked on my, on my, on my…on my….. | This is just my thought on the whole song. First off, its totally amazing, as i think we all agree. I think you're all right about the first time he leaves his house and get out of the desert, into the sun, his father is telling him to move on and into bigger things, but maybe not necessarily his music, just explore what else is out there. The next time these lyrics come up hes sitting in a hotel room with his band and he says he can see their eyes trying to tell him something, but can they see his eyes. And he goes on to say the last 3 years have been hard. I think this is an additional three years after they've been on the road and the band is looking at him because they kind of want to give up, they arent getting anywhere. But they look at him and they know he wont give up, and if they want to give up he will go on by himself. And this time, yes, they are going to Cali for sure. This is just all my interpretation. | |
