The real question is: Does anyone care? I always thought it said "This *bitch* is bananas," which, ironically, is exactly what I said when I first heard this song. |

"I can't in any way believe this song is related to satan" Why NOT? It's called The Devil's Workday. I think you're right, moochersminion. Good News for People Who Love Bad News has this whole heaven/hell thing going on, and that's awesome. He's singing it from satan's POV, obviously. Day in the life.... The "hang myself for treason" line is pretty damn awesome in my opinion. I think it refers to Judas Iscariot. God I love Modest Mouse for their symbolism and allusions. It's almost like literature. |

I think it says "Do you believe what you see?" It's about the rejection of religion/God and an afterlife; the beginning of an atheist outlook. "The blows been softened since we are own damn coffins" "The blows" meaning the sins that we commit and our supposed consequence for them; our death comes at random and without reason; our sins have only the consequence of non-existence. It's a great song. Very catchy. |

I always thought that Peter Patrick was just a man who is drinking, doing drugs, maybe he is a john, but anyway, I think Sunny's silhouette means that he's trying to get into the light of life, but singing on Sunday is not going to save his soul. Maybe I'm just too analytical. |
