a list of dont's. i've always viewed punk as a spirit. i am not going to bothering explaining that spirit because i know (or atleast assume) that you all know what i mean. anyway..that is why i don't believe that TRUE "PUNK MUSIC" is in reality not "punk music," but "music made by punks." i don't believe that punk is dead. i don't believe that punk is dead at all. i believe that it is rare. the bands that are called punk by people like green day..that realistically aren't..i don't consider bands like those punk bands. i don't use the term "pop punk" when referring to that sort of band..i refer to it as "power pop," because that is exactly what it is. it lacks any lyrical importance..just breaking up with girlfriends and having fun and blah blah blah. by the way, i broke up with my girlfriend yesterday, and i have been listening to bands like crass, conflict, and against me! all yesterday and today. i remember a quote from somebody that went, "Punk hasn't gone mainstream, mainstream went punk." that's what i agree with.
