This song reminds me of anorexia. I highly doubt that is what the lyrics mean. But that's my thought.
Robots = programmed = 'zombie' teenagers, the model image, what we 'should' be like. Yoshimi has anorexia, but they know she can overcome it. Working in the city -- NYC is a leading place to go for modeling. So she's taking the vitamins and recovering.
