I found this song on Pandora, and I couldn't believe it was Sarah Brightman. I always took her for a soft rock/opera/musical person, not a symphonic rock person. (Can you tell I don't know much of her non-musical theatre work? ^_^) She sounds great though. As far as the meaning goes, I'll second the "love-hate relationship" angle. |

I just took a quiz over at Quizilla (Which Evanescence song are you?), and this was my outcome. I know how she feels. My husband is in a lot of pain (more physical, less mental, but pain nonetheless), and I feel the way she does, that I would do anything to heal him and help him feel better. This is really the first Evanescence song that I've been able to identify with, even though I haven't heard it yet. But I'll bet it's beautiful... |

A week beforehand, though, she decides to go with a popular guy instead. Ally decides to go with him (in one scene telling a girl that she was his mistress, and not his mother ^_^), and she encourages him to sing to her anyway. He does, and everybody loves it! If I were to make a soundtrack of my life so far, this would be one of the songs. I'm the oldest of four kids. When I was younger, it was a family joke that I was going to marry the oldest son of some friends of theirs. When we were 11, we had our first kiss. I did like him, and he liked me, but as we grew up, we grew apart and we're both in different relationshops: I'm married, no kids, and he and his fianceé have a baby boy. The first time I heard this song, it reminded me of him. The only defference is neither of us is famous. ^_^ |
