I go along with the people who don't think it's about sex. "pushing forward and arching back" I don't know if it's happened to any of ya, but taking with my last relationship, when we broke up, part of you says it's time to move on,forward, while in your heart and mind you wanna go back, it's like being torn on moving on or trying to go back. the heart attack thing is your emotion, like when you think of a special moment in a relationship, and your overcome by emotion that makes your heart hurt, so to say. the "just say goodbye and fly away "line is him saying just go and say goodbye,please don't look back at me right now. the "when you come back I will have some things to say" is him letting her know that when you come back I will still say I love you and he will have more to say to make her stay this time.

well, i got to agree with everyone here, this song is great. and like the rest of you, it relates to my last relationship. me and her went through alot together in the 2 years we were together, we even were gonna get married, but she had to move to michigan and i went too, but it was hard with me not having a job and we fought alot, so i came home, and we triedto make it work, but after time, it grew apart. We are still great friend, but it hurts, and listening to this song, hurts, but in a good way, remembering a beautiful time in my life that i will always treasure, and remembering is like therapy, gets the emotion out.....aah, I miss her, but thanks to this song, it helps...sorry but this song opens me up,LOL |

I know in my earlier post I said I disliked this song, but after hearing it on the radio every 5 mintues, it started to grow on me. I don't know, I think the whole"gay undertones" is him making fun of pop people, guys like justin limperdick(i meant timberlake,my fault) and the rest of them, cause they all do act sorta gay, and as most of us know,Em hates them. but if you listen to it well, he throws most of his old stuff in it, Without me at the begining, Lose yourself in the last verse, and Superman with the whole you know your my world, after all his new album is called Encore, the whole thing reminds me and some people i work with of his first single My Name is, he makes fun of himself to make it hard for others to cut him down, which is the best thing anyone can do.
Now ofcourse with the video for it and the whole Michael Jackass thing, Jackos bitching, He's just getting what he deserves, he's a little pedderass and should be treated like shit, end of story and he hates the video and wants MTV and the rest to take it off, funny, i remember the conterversy about one of his songs about a guy who was proscuting him and he made a song about him calling him a bad man and you hear a gun getting fired at the end. Guess the ex king of pop don't like his own medicine....sorry for this being so long, carry on now... |

I do think this song is about a relationship that turns long distance, like in the lines, though your going far from home, and it was'nt I that had to go. So as time goes by, she falls out of love with him,the whole" look at your hands,i'm slipping through them like grains of sand. the whole thing is him trying to say I wish I was your everything that made you forget me and your love for me. Maybe I am off, just goin by what happened to me, so I could be just screwed up. But damn I love this song |

when I first heard this song, i will admit, it made me misty. pretty much goes along in a esense that we rely on machines to do all our work. we rely on computers to fix our problems, we rely on technology to make our lives simple,easier. Instead of actually doing it ourselves, we are making our own speices(I know spelling sucks) useless as time goes by. Listening to the whole album, it goes to the whole terminator type story, which made it friggin cool. But in a way, one day the very machines we rely on, could one day screw us over.
by the way..did anyone hear that computer generated voice at the beggining of the song? what does it say? |
