I'm so glad Operation Ivy broke up. I think they actually broke up because they were afraid of becoming too popular. It's ironic that Green Day covered this in my opinion, Operation Ivy is kinda like the Anti-Green Day. Green Day only makes songs based on what they know the listeners will want to listen to over the radio, they don't care about their lyrics. My friend said it best, "Green Day makes me love President Bush." |

I don't see why people care so much about them being popular now, so what if they get popular, what i'm upset about is the fact that they completely changed their sound to conform to the masses. Comparing this to Sad Sappy Sucker is like comparing a whale to a brick, and i think Sad Sappy Sucker is one of their best albums. |
