I find the contrast between the poetic lyics and vulgar title a bit humorous. I wonder what woman could have prompted him to write so vehemently about a person. Indeed a fantastic b-side, his voice is really outstanding in this song. |

I think the song is about blind faith. The "blind dogs" in this song represent people who disregard reason in favour of illogical personal beliefs. Although Cornell makes reference to religion ("The safe bet is on your knees, Bow your head to the Trinity"), I think the song applies to people in general, and that you should keep an open mind to different ideas. "Suffer to swim and dying to sink These things in the air They will make you think" This makes the song in my opinion. It really drives home the point of keeping an open mind. |
