Wake up Alone is a great heartbreak song. The lyrics are poetic. She sings the pain of hear break. I had listened to this song in the pass and thought i considers this song a beautiful song, it did not have any meaning for me when i first heard it. But this summer this song became my comfort and said what my heart was feeling and described the proses i had to go through for a few months. The fact that these lyrics describes the helplessness we all feel while trying to patch up our broken heart. These lyrics we are profoundly deep and beautiful. Also in this song she does a great job of focusing on how while dealing with heartbreak we are most vulnerable in the morning when we "wake up alone" and at night. While we are not keeping busy. This song describes what i had been going though this summer. i believe that if my heart could sing its pain it would sound something like this song. Even though i was able to relate to this story all summer long, my story had a happy ending and i now get to have him all for myself. no more girl back home. Wake up alone will always be one of my Favorite songs and when ever i listen to this song, regardless of my age, i will always look back to this period of my life and remember him and remember the first taste of heartbreak i endured. |
