The song is not about Thatcher, she wasn't yet prime minister at the time this was written. And Whitehouse was not a politician but a Tipper Gore type censorship advocate. The song is condeming Whitehouse for trying to make people think like her and so on. |

| The song is about having a bad time on tour and just wanting it all to be over so they can go home. Dee Dee wrote after their 77(i think) tour of England, which went very badly, the band got sick, the shows weren't that good and he just wanted to not have to think about things and go home. | |
