A friend of mine, has this in his journal: Taiyed as told by Tim: (Tim): tayd, with a line above the a, rhymes with jade, wade, raid, maid, laid, etc. The word could be defined as an adjective describing a feeling of highness, bliss, happiness, etc. Taiyed is an altered state of conciousness, usually accompanied with a positive mental attitude (PMA-see Bad Brains.) The term was coined by a friend of ours during high school, probably Dave Barker, or possibly Nick, I’m not certain. Taiyed can be attained thru yogas and meditations, or, as Robert Anton Wilson (I think) says, "thru the backdoor" with the help of such things as thc, psilocybin, nitrous oxide, alcohol, etc. |
