Maynard loves to criticize religion and this song may present, aside from the drug addiction meaning, another attack on religion, especially Christianity. I base this on what he said at a concert in MS earlier this year. He asked the audience to say shitfuck, one word shitfuck, he then asked us to look at our friend and see if any of us had grown horns or turned into a Republican. I've thought about it alot and, being of the Christian faith, I think that this song is talking about dedicating your life to Christ. This dedication includes trying to be sin-free. NO SEX, DRUGS, OR ROCK AND ROLL is what I've lived with as being a Christian. I feel very medial with my opinion of this. Maynard makes an awesome point of living your life the way you want. DO WHAT FEELS GOOD. That's extremely enjoyable and easy. The hard thing to do in Christianity is not sin and live a life of, at best, semi-excitement. Again, I am very medial with this; I go to church, watch my language, stay away from drugs, but when it comes to the sex part, I cannot defend against the basic primal urges to FEEL PLEASURE.
