i dont get this. who cares if jet is saving rock and roll. rock and roll wont die for a while because these big bands who are now gone are gonna stay around. its safe to say, if you want to go buy a copy of Led Zeppelin II, you will be able to do so for the next 50 years. hey, it'll be a lot cheaper and better than this jet powerchord shit
whats funny is how all of you are comparing this to the "shit played on mtv" guess what boys and girls, this song is now played on mtv and everywhere else (or it was while it was popular, now its just plain overplayed). ill admit, it made me tap my foot. but iggy pop wrote the song. not only are they not original for ripping the song off, the song has been ripped off many times before (i saw a tv show on this, but the only band i can remember who did it was genesis). so they are not original for ripping off a song thats already been ripped off many times.
and whats with all this rap bashing? how would you feel if someone judged all of rock and roll by "bands" like good charlotte and jet? its pretty ignorant to go call a whole music genre crap right off the bat especially when the only exposure you get to it is off mtv.
and to the "smart" man above, as soon as i learned powerchords on the guitar i could play this jet song (about two weeks of playing). if you think its good to hear guys picking up guitars and rocking, go to your local concert scene. kids much younger will rock so much harder and better. it seems like you are the "somebody else who probably doesnt know what they are talking about" id venture as far to say as jet is not saving rock and roll, instead they are almost cheapening it. but then again, thats just MY opinion. i really dont care if you like this song or this band because if you do, you are probably missing out on a lot of good music |

maddie16, youre allowed to have your opinion, and my opinion on your opinion is that your opinion is quite wrong. anywho, before i saw the lyrics i sorta thought this song had a religious meaning to it, "go on and save yourself" - a christ-like thing. but when 3/4 of the band is rage against the machine, you dont go from ultra-left to ultra-right. the defense surrender indian thing makes the most sense out of anything here though |

thats what the blues is, mixing up and stuff like that. if everything was like NVarea said, we'd know who created the I-IV-V blues progression, and all blues songs would have to be credited to him/her. this song is awesome, and Led Zeppelin II is in my opinion the best LZ album |

its a really good song, but im pretty sure its a knockoff/remake of voodoo chile/voodoo child (slight return) by hendrix. i too used to hate the fact that he was so much like hendrix, but think, 40 years from now people make look back at lenny as being the 2nd hendrix, ya never know! |
