| Broken Social Scene – Sweetest Kill Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I totally agree with -hash-. 'I thought you were the sweetest kill Did I even know? And all the time we thought we did Was it just for show?' Some people believe that pulling the plug is a good thing, it's sweet of them to be that person who ends the pain or suffering the patient may be going through. But then again, what do we know? Who are we to determine the end of someone's life. To give up hope. All the time they talked themselves into it, saying it was ok to pull the plug, was it a front? Were they really as brave as they made out to be? OR just a kill in general. A dying person. So sweet and gracious just slipping away. The people around them telling themselves that they can cope. 'If they try to pull you out Would you even go? I thought you were the sweetest kill Did you even know?' Does the patient even want saving in the first place? Talking themselves into pulling the plug. Making themselves think 'yeh this is the right thing to do'. If the doctors were to save you, would you even take to it or pull away? Fight for your life? 'I held your hand until the light The scars were on the back And all the time we were the right Was it just retract?' Keeping the patient company. Being there for them when they slip away. 'And they can try to put you down, wear you out Get you through the idea of the luck' They try to pump them with drugs, giving them hope that they may pull out they just give up. Worn out and used. 'All the time, we get by, trying to figure out our lives Like a fade out' We do, we try to figure everything out up until our last breath when we don't realise we all end up the same at the end of it all. We slip away, like a fade out. 'When we took the level ten Was it just a twelve? And when we went to where we've been Was it just for self?' This I cannot figure out at all. 'I break you through this world I break you through this world Let me break you through this world Can I break you through this world?' One last try to get them to pull through. To break through whichever world they go to next. |

"Well, then think of what you did And how I hope to God he was worth it" The beginning is obviously a guy talking to his girlfriend who cheated on him and he's asking if she realises her mistake and does she still think of him? He then goes on to explain how much better than any other guy he is for her. She made a mistake. After that, the testosterone... etc. Is him talking to us. Telling us to learn from this. For the guys to treat girls with respect and hold on tight so no other guy can get their mits on them, and for the girls to be true to who they are with. Be honest. "So I guess we're back to us" And now he carries on talking to the girl, telling her it was a stupid attention seeking act and that he can carry on without her. That's my stab! |

| Nightwish – Over the Hills and Far Away (Gary Moore cover) (feat. Tony Kakko) Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I think it's something to do with adultery.. "For with the wife of his best friend He spent his final night of freedom" It's all about love.. "He knew that it would cost him dear But yet he dare not say Where he had been that fateful night A secret it must stay" fearing for what may happen to the woman he was having an affair with and obviously the friendship he's already risked. This is all I can come up with at the moment, and for the record Nightwish are amazing :) |
