This song goes hand in hand with "Kashmire" musically... instead of playing all 1/2 step notes like Led Zep did, Coheed plays one 1/2 then all 1 step notes to make it sound more musically correct but the correlation between coheed and led zeppelin in this song are a positive 1.
One other thing that makes Coheed so good today is that they aren't like fall out boy and hawthorne heights or stupid Panic! at the disco.. by this i mean coheed would rather sound good live than look good live something that rock has been lacking..even though i dont consider those bands above (fall out boy hwthornce etc.) rock |

I think this song is about a relationship and it is starting to go downhill and he is living her end. The first part about the sea on the decline breaking the waves, i think its about breaking the peace that they had going on and she is pulling him down in her depression. They are trying to mend the pieces when he says Silence is not the way, we need to talk about it. |

From looking at the lyrics and not seeing the video, I would say that the song is about a relationship that is starting to go downward. He feels like he is just with her to be with her hence the living the hell part. what OhSexyYou wrote, the first part about the sea, i think that it means that the girl is being depressed and is breaking the silence and dragging him down with her. but the other part is just a mystery to me |
