beautiful song...i believe it is about the scars left emotional/ physically (cutting). both wounds can be worsened. "everytime your gone i wish that you'd come back"...probably referring to hope or some abstract, but it could refer to a person, also. "And everyone watched me waste myself And everyone cheered at last And all of them found it comforting Its better it’s me then them. "....this is more detail on what a person who is mentally imbalanced feels. ex: it makes sense for you to feel pain because you deserve it...let them be happy. (greater good/ existentialism/ whatever) "They’ve taken both my belt and shoelaces away"...probably suicide references. notice in later line that "luck" is used where "faith" should be inserted. i believe that is about god, but this person obviously has weakened faith. the rest of the song reiterates the lines preceeding it...more on pain and healing and then things getting worse...i think a lot of people can relate to this song |

i love this song....why hasn't anyone posted yet?! to me, this song stirkes at a personal level, something i can relate to. i think it is about two people who are very different in at least one way, but the two depend on each other for a lot. It seems like the one singing the song is having a hard time dealing with the differences, and wants to keep the relationship going despite "the difference(s)". ... |
