I think it's intresting that no one has mentioned the "Sandpaper tears corrode the film" aspect of the son g. When Daniel's family and friends visited him at his secluded home on the Australian beaches during the end of the writing session he had for Neon Ballroom, they immediately saw that he ahd a problem, and all of the pictures of himself with any family/friends were scratched up by sandpaper and his nails to make him look as thin as he wished he was; however by this time he was much thinnner.

This song is ACTUALLY about a girl he was in love with that was a devout believer in God. Scooter felt like God was competition (You think you half as good as me...) She eventually chose her love for God over her love for him because he had no reason to believe in God anymore. He was quoted saying this on an old interview from 1999. |

This song is actually about a young girl who wrote them a letter about how her dad had abused her a year or so back and their music was the only thing that got her through it. Scooter was so moved that he offered for her to go on a few stops of their self-titled tour with them. He wrote this song for her. |

This song ACTUALLY is about his mother and how he regarded her so highly as a child and as he grew older he realized she was a bad influence and blew him off all the time. He said this at a concert, so I'm assuming it's accurate... |
