I don't think it has anything to do with a one night stand. To me, its someone who loves another person, but the relationship is strained. The verses are about wanting to get back to where they used to be, and the chorus is saying "Don't tell me things are fine". Like he knows there is stuff to work out and talk about, and he wants to hear anything other than "Things are ok how they are". But I do agree, this band is amazing to see live... |

| I read the meaning on the DKM site, but the song never seemed like that to me. The lyrics sound like one of those men, but they sound like the man (who was a jerk) is now sorry for that lifestyle, and is looking for a way to make things right. | |
