| Every lyrics board with 'indie' artists, there is always someone whining and complaing about MTV. Stop being so closeminded and try to think of it as a good thing, if you truly like the band, then it won't matter to you if they get a little extra coverage on MTV or vh1 for that matter. Be happy for them, this is their dream. Who cares if teeny-boppers like it? Maybe then they will start to think differently when they hear these wonderful songs. So shut up about it. | |

You have to look at the song metaphysically. The girl, Sonny, we fed up. People wronged her, destroyed her spirit. The chorus, "She says days go by I hang on tight I'm walking on a wire I close my eyes and fly out of my mind Into the fire " The fire symbolizes anger. She tries to keep going, she tries to ingore, hence balancing on a wire, but then she goes out of her mind into the fire, the anger. Then she decided to take action. To stop running from her fears and to kill the things that dampened her spirit. She didn't literally kill, meteaphysically thinking, remember? In the end, "Light the sky and hold on tight The world is burning down She's out there on her own and she's alright Sonny came home Sonny came home..." " It means she finally overcame her goals, she killed her demons and never looked back, and now she will be ok. She came home. Home to herself...home to where she belonged in content. |
