| Coldplay – Shiver Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song doesn't sound like one of hope or simple love to me. It sounds more like obsession and desperation, and it's a little bit creepy. The song is about some guy who's obessed with some girl who has already made it clear to him she isn't interested in him. Lines like "I'll always be waiting for you" "from the moment I wake, to the moment I sleep" Indicate that the subject of the song thinks about nothing but the object of his desire. "Did you want me to change? Well I changed for good" "You'll always get your way" He's desperately trying to get her to change her mind. "Don't you shiver" "Just you try and stop me" Why is she shivering? Because he's stalking her and it scares her, and even when she tells him to leave her alone, he won't. |

| Carly Simon – You're So Vain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| 'Clouds in my coffee' probably means that her hopes and dreams were as inconsequential to the object of the song, whoever it may be, as the little clouds of foam that appear in a cup of coffee. | |

Oh, and vasnmoGo, no one cares how much you hate America. This isn't your personal bitching ground, you sad little prick. Talk about the song, or the get the fuck out. To avoid any accusations of hypocrisy, let me add some additional insight; Mick Jagger is Satan in the song. Thank you. |

| Sixpence None the Richer – Kiss Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's most likely about lesbians. | |
| Death Cab for Cutie – Expo '86 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| mneme has it right, I think. It's not about a relationship that the singer is in, but rather, he is watching his ex go through the same crap with different guys over and over, eagerly waiting for something to go wrong in each of her relationships because he's jealous of anyone she's with; he gets a sense of relief every time she leaves someone. | |
| Jackson Browne – Doctor My Eyes Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Whether it's about the vietnam conflict i can't say, but i can say that it's about someone who has been aware of a lot of injustice that others have not been aware of, and is feeling depressed that such injustice exists in the world. | |
