I think that slickvic needs to calm down and face the facts. I don't think this is about addiction, because it clearly states that this is about someone suicidal. I can tell you because I know where Maynard's coming from. I have a good friend who's suicidal because "she wants to be". I'm sick of her stupid, attention whore attitude. It's not about addiction...look at the damn lyrics. "Lying to my face again...SUICIDAL IMBECILE". SUICIDAL IMBECILE. That's obviously saying that Maynard thinks that the person who is contemplating this stupid excuse for getting attention is stupid. As do I. |

Uh, slickvic? Have you heard this whole album? If the whole album is about addiction like you say it is, then how does "The Outsider" fit this category? Anyway, I do agree with ObsessiveTendencies that this is about some guy using a girl (or trying to find a girl for that matter) that will just go along with his sexual desires. He's obviously been hurt before because he tried to feel affection for someone, but it back-fired on him. He doesn't need someone to love, he just needs someone to engage in his sexual needs. |
