I don't know about everyone else but Im sick of everyone assuming almost every song is an anti-bush song, its annoying me.
I think this song has nothing to do with that, its about how most wars are started by religion, and how people are blinded to logic by the 'chains' of their religion, and will fight for some non-existant entity, when in reality they are just fighting for nothing.
if you look at almost every war in history, religion has played a large part in starting it. |

I think it's pretty obvious what this songs about, i mean he does describe it in pretty high detail....it's just about how these days you get the hypocrits who spend all day whining about conformity...the state of the "scene" etc, and how max is just honest about himself, and how he can "do just fine" with his car and his guitar, and that "you'r free to whine, but it will not get you far"
oh and he did get admitted to a secure institute, he was found freestyle rapping on a corner somewhere, beleiving hed been gone for years, go look it up on the say anything website...or their old blogs on myspace |

I agree with vandalgroupie...I'm sick of how people still have an idea of what "punk" should be and try and live up to that idea..be yourself you fuckin morons
but yeah essentially I think this song is about how say anything don't "wail about anarchy" because "Anti establishment gets [them] nowhere fast", Max sticks to writing songs which he can relate to and which he feels strongly about, for example his "girl problems", cuz that's what he's good at.
I could be wrong...I'm not particularly big on Say Anything so feel free to correct me |

right, this song really is an abolishment of hip-hop, it's not even hip-hop, its shoddy rap with a catchy chorus, its just pop but 'cool'-ed up, to make it more socially acceptable, if you want decent hip-hop listen to Jurassic 5 or DJ format or sumthing, if you listen to any of 50 cent, G-unit, or any other modern pop hip-hop its all the same, the lyrics arent even good theyre just all innuendos for sex and their 'gangster' lifestyle, they dont get across any serious issues, and I know songs dont have to be all political and stuff, but they could at least be meaningful |
