Reading the lyrics it sounds like someone wanting to be loved by this person that sounds like a parental figure. The person in question is described as being almost saint like ("you bring eye sight to the blind") |

Again mixed messages about love and religion("the venom of the cross we bear"). Em..don't know what it means but it's still fantastic. |

I don't know what it means. Mixed messages about love and religion (HIM's specialty). I don't care, it's my favourite song on Love Metal. |

Yeah hard lyrics, great song. I think it's about satan trying to tempt people into worshiping him, hence "I'm your Christ and I want you". I dunno, that's just what I think of when I listen to it. |

Yeah, when Placebo became "famous" Brian forgot to take his number out of the phone book and so got various death threats and fans calling him. This was taken from his answering machine. After this happening he moved home so it wouldn't happen again. |

The song is about a woman using a dildo. It is told from the woman's point of view. The line "none of you can make the grade" is the woman saying how she prefers her dildo to men. |

I love this song more than anything. I think its about this new era that we live in and all we can do is drink and get high and sleep around and soon enough we've wasted our whole lives doing that, so that when we're old we're alone because all our relationships were worthless one night stands.
Hence the lines :"maybe we're victems of fate, remember when we'd celebrate, we'd drink and get high until late, but now we're all alone. Wedding bells ain't gonna chime, with both of us guilty of time and both of us sentenced to time and now we're all alone" |

I think it's about someone on the verge of committing suicide but wanting to be saved or redeemed in some way. Wanted their religion to save them before it's too late. Perhaps putting their religion to the test. |
