Evanescence plays secular music to a secular crowd. The bassist, Moody, stated his brush with Christianity was a "childish folly" or something along those lines. The band started (as I hear it) opening up at Christian shows and they labled a Christian abdn without anyone reading the lyrics. While some of the songs have a spiritual base, they are secular for the secular crowd. Too abd. Imagine if htey took their faith all the way...wow. |
