| The Black Eyed Peas – Bebot Lyrics
|
Correction: In Tagalog (Filipino language) 'Pare' means a friend or how you address one. 'Hoy pare pakinggan niyo ako.' means 'Hey dude listen to me.' So it does not translate to 'Father' Catholic Priests here are called Pari. We call them Father so it does not have to be interchanged with Pare.
Adobo is not a soup dish but a stew served in Chicken or pork, it was introduced to us by the Spaniards in the 16th century.
Balot is Duck egg, it doesn't necessarily have to be eaten whole. It is a delicacy here in the Philippines and a good source of protein. Foreigners tend to be disgusted by it but it is good once you get used to eat Balot.
Bebot is a slang for a chick or a beautiful woman. Bebot was probably derived from the word 'Babae' which also means a girl.
Listelle really made a rough translation about this song. You do not have to translate it verbatimly or people will get confused.
All in all: Astig tong kantang to' sobra, sikat na sikat na dito sa Pinas, hangang hanga talaga ako sayo APL!!! Mabuhay ka!!! |

The music video is partially a parody of the cult horror film Evil Dead. In the movie, which was directed by Sam Raimi (who would go on to direct the Spider-Man films), a group of friends spend the weekend in a cabin only to be attacked by zombies. The parts of the video featuring Dave Grohl as some kind of a superhero with a giant hand (referred to as "Handor" by some fans) have nothing to do with Evil Dead, though. The video was directed by Michel Gondry, who went on to make Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Gondry used to have dreams where his hand grew to giant size. |

I reaaly agree in this song, how people tolerate hypocrisy and being blinded blissfully in materialistic things. I must admit that the world is almost unreal these days. To think that people have to appear splendid by their fashion crap just to cover up their real personality.
He is also reffering to dignity as a worn out trend, as if dignity is an outdated clothing line. |

Felicity means a great feeling of happiness and bliss, it doesn't literally mean a person, the vocalist is reffering to this feeling that blinds us people in worldly matters. |

| Everclear – Everything To Everyone Lyrics

Lead singer Art Alexakis says, "It's kind of an angry song. That person is within everybody, I think everybody has this ability to try and be everything to everyone, to try to please. I think there are 2 aspects of it - there's the pleaser, who doesn't always show his true self, always plays nice and as time goes on shows more and more of himself, but there's also the people who are everything to everyone who are manipulators and users." Art has encountered many of these people in the entertainment industry. |

Noel Gallagher wrote the line, "Stand up beside the fireplace, take that look from off your face" because when he was a kid, his mother used to make him stand next to the fireplace and have photos taken. He always looked grumpy in these photos, so she told him to take that look from off his face. |

| Creed – Higher Lyrics

OK, so here's the fact regarding this song:
Lead singer Scott Stapp wrote this while living alone in an apartment after he ran away from home. He left home to get away from his family because he was having trouble dealing with their strong religious beliefs. Scott got involved in drugs for a while and it is quite possible that the line "Can you take me higher" refers to him questioning his own religious feelings in reference to his involvement with drugs. Scott is now drug free. |

From Jakob Dylan, The Vocalist: "I tend to write with a lot of metaphors and images, so people take them literally. The song's meaning is all in the first verse. It's about the death of ideas. The first verse says, 'The death of the long broken arm of human law.' At times, it seems like there should be a code among human beings that is about respect and appreciation. I wasn't feeling like there was much support outside the group putting together the record. In the chorus, it says, 'C'mon try a little.' I didn't need everything to get through, I could still get through -- meaning 'one headlight." |

So what if apl de ap called my country a ghetto? It was mentioned artistically anyway? He said "This is a version of my Ghetto." And a part of the translation is wrong. "Sa lupang pinangako." means "On a promised land." his real name is allan pineda and I'm so glad that he was featured in a drama show called "Maalaala mo kaya?" (Will you remember?) When they had a tour here in the Philippines a couple of months ago, It's like a docu-drama show here in the Philippines. His story is so touching. Anyway, keep up the good work guys! Mabuhay ang mga pinoy!!!!! |

THE REAL MEANING OF THE SONG:
This was written about Andrew Wood, lead singer of the Seattle group Mother Love Bone, who died of an heroin-overdose in 1990. Other songs inspired by his death are "Would?" by Alice In Chains, "Hey Mr. Lovedog" by Faster Pussycat, and the whole Temple Of The Dog project. |

well, the song is only partly true alright, "girls don't like boys girls like cars and money" not all girls are like that anyway, for me, this kind of girls are signs of being practical and in the same time, immature, it said so on the lyrics: "girls" "boys".... the band didn't say "men", or "women" right? anyway, love this song, i really like this band! keep up the good work guys... |
