It's about a girl who's been treated badly by her boyfriend and she's lost interest in him completely but he's the one thinking she still cares which is untrue and in someways is kinda taughting her just to try and get himself talking to her again. | I agree with gowithyourgut, it is about ending a relationship. Ace definately expresses how he feels about this girl not just through lyrics but with his voice, he really belts out the words with a lot of emotion. | I'm such a huge fan of this song... The lyrics are so raw and straight to the point there's no need to explain it's meaning. It has definately captured exactly how Alanis felt at the time she wrote it and I'm sure anyone who has felt like they've been knocked down and pushed aside by their lover can relate to it. This is song is so universal to everyone. Many people forget that through any type of experience you become wiser and a strong person no matter how grim or discouraging it may have been for the person. It's a good song to listen to when you feel a situation that you're in has beoome too much for you to cope with. |

It's clear that what Michelle is trying to say is that she's waiting for her ex to come back to her and all she can do is wait until all the bad experiences of the past have blown over and she can finally get back with him. She questions her ex as to what went wrong in the relationship... "Did I make you nervous? Did I ask for too much? Was I not deserving Once I came to your touch?" This song in particular is very personal to Michelle and I love the way she sings it in a way to show exactly how she feels about this guy. The piano adds a nice touch too ^_^. |

| Breathe is my personal favorite song on the album. Mainly because the lyrics are very strong and direct to the point and anyone can relate to it. I love the way she's set out the lyrics as the verses are written about her situation and the chorus is about how she deals with it. It's help me through times when I've felt overwhelm by something bad that's happened. It's a song about coping with your emotions and not letting them get the better of you. | |

| This song adds a great ending to Hotel Paper. The guy she sings about throughtout the album she experiences many different emotions when writing about him. This song just sums it all up, she loves him but now accepts that she may never have him back as "tomorrow never comes." It's a meaningful song and I guess what Michelle is trying to say is that she over him now but the feelings will always linger within her. | |

I love this song.... Its very different to the rest of the songs on Broken Bracelet, the music isn't as sweet as the rest album so it goes well with the lyrics. It's about a girl who realizes a guy she really likes doesn't feel the same way as her. "Since you left that day I've realized my minds made up on you, my heart is capsized and I don't know what I'm gonna do." These are probably the most powerful lines in the whole song. It expresses how her dreams of ever being with that guy is shattered and how she has to accept the fact but at the same time she finds that she still loves him just as much as she did before, thus making her feel ripped apart like paper pieces. |
