I dont like any of Britneys other work but I actually really feel alot of compassion in this song. The instrumental part is really pretty and calming. I dont really like her voice all that much but it sounds good and fits nicely in this song. I think this song is about two people who loved each other that broke off their relationship and have grown into other lives. All she wants is him to take her back. She feels she cant live without him and he haunts her dreams and thoughts. I think at the end she gives into suicide because her life isnt good enough without him. Cause whoever said "you dont need a guy to make you happy"...was wrong :( |

This song means so much to me...Its about reflecting on a relationship that has been totally trashed. And hes basically saying theres too many times that this happens and its time to change our ways. Its really unfortunate cause it was a beautiful relationship to him and he really just misses her and wishes he could be with her. THIS WORLD SUCKS |

This song is about someone who is missing out on something because of their own fears and insecurity. But they know they cant escape from wanting it or seeing it/thinking of it all the time. Yet they make the same mistakes "like clockwork" just to protect their reputation or pride. They've had this problem before but they still feel stuck and cant find a solution...but at the end he says "i wont loose my place in line i've been here too long and i've spent too much time" and at the end of the song you have faith that hes going to pull through
