The Clash – All the Young Punks (New Boots and Contracts) Lyrics 21 years ago
Anyone heard the song "All the young dudes" by Mott the Hoople? I read somewhere that the Clash wrote this song because of Mott the Hoople's version.

I love the part "I hate the civil service rules, and I won't open letter bombs for you". I love the version of this song on the Essential Clash DVD. :D

It's an alright song although it's a typical Mick song. I like Joe's songs better, as a whole. Although I do love the bass roll in this song.

The Clash – Should I Stay or Should I Go Lyrics 21 years ago
Combat Rock was definately not their finest album, although America seemed to think so. This song is definitely not a BAD song, but it is definately not their best either. It's so...I don't know, so like the songs you hear today's new "punk" bands playing. But of course it's better.

The Clash – Rudie Can't Fail Lyrics 21 years ago
j0k3r_31 u said "rude boys and rude girls were like the orginal skinheads" but in the song Safe European Home, they say "Rudie comes from Jamaica"...because this CD came out a little over a year before London Calling did, it makes me think that they r making a reference to this song...
