Such a haunting song, so full of pain and anguish... Its about him being madly inlove with someone, but recieving nothing in return, so much so that it drives him to take his own life, and so the next time he will see her in "on the other time". When he says "We'll not undo what has been done Or change the moment when it's gone" he is saying that she will not realise how much he loved her until he is gone, and it will be too late for her to save his life...... beautiful |

Kurt killed himself, because he was fuckin depressed. Millions of people take their own lives every year, and you dont see people comming up with stupid conspiracy theories for their deaths do you? so why do it with Kurt? Kurt Cobain was a very talented man, and he, through his lyrics, has inspired me in a few people do. He is an icon for generation X, so why dont you let hiim and his name rest in peace. True fans wouldnt read into that bullshit but just appreciate what he left in this world. i mean c'mon, what kind of stupid shithead thinks these things up? To me, this is a song about life, not just for teenagers, but for anyone that has gone through what Kurt went through. Any fan will know he had a traumatic childhood, and the lyrics can be interprited as how he felt. "With the lights out, it's less dangerous" could be seen as his way of saying by isolating yourself from the outside world, you prevent yourself from getting hurt. If you use your head you can see all the references to the pain of growing up, and it can happen to anyone, "a mulatto" or "an albino" The lyrics to this song ARE good, if you use some brainpower and look into the metaphors, instead of looking at it's face value like some dumb uneducated shit, and yes, some of the lines ARE about fitting in, use your damn brain. Finally, i have to say "Asaghon", you are stupid and narrow minded. Music is about music, not generalisations! you cant hate a band on the principle that they are a part of a certain genre. If britney spears or busted or some other pop act does good work, im man enough to admit its good and to even buy it. Have you listened to Blink 182? you probably have, but are too thick to understand it, just like how you're to damn stupid to understand the lyrics to smells like teen spirit are brilliant. |
