| Rammstein – Du Riechst So Gut (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I really do think this song is about rape/stalking, but I don't understand why that would mean it encourages it...I mean, if it is about that, then it's likening the rapist/harasser to an animal. I almost want to laugh when poeple think that the speaker of a poem is always supposed to be the lyricist or the "good guy." | |

| That would explain the video. | |

| This is why they should release lyrics with singles... | |

Our humanity is melting into an artificial mass. Even now, this mass begins to conceive its manifesto. We can only wonder painfully what this will be, with ideologies battling in all corners of the Earth. Floodwaters of the anaesthetic of artificial thought rise on the crowded street of human division, dowsing the fires of their passions, benevolence and malevolence disregarded. The people run to the upper floors of buildings they manufactured to protect them, but as the waters rise higher, they are trapped on these floors, and they realize that the only ways they installed to escape, the stairs and doors, are covered by the floodwaters. These floodwaters are of the same nature as the staircases; created for the same purpose. To aid humanity in finding satisfaction. And it kills them. |

| After listening to those aforementioned demos, which I am embarassed to say I didn't really know about until...when they were mentioned on this thread, I feel even better about this song. It totally fits in. Perfectly. I'm happy. | |

| ((also let it be mentioned that there is no harsh screaming in the song War All The Time either)) | |

| I think that this worry about Geoff's lyrical ability slipping is a bit premature. This song is catchy and radioish, but for that matter, I've heard "Signals Over The Air" described as too stereotypically emo. But the albums always work. This song will have a place. And I'm sure the whole Killers-ripoff thing isn't going to happen in every song. | |

| "The sihouetter of your own face becomes the black cloud of war" makes me think of a picture I saw on the news in which the outline of a face was formed from the smoke from the burning twin towers... | |

| Rammstein – Du Hast Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
The doujble meaning is in that when you first start listening, you think it's "hasst". They carry out the "S" really far when singing it. So you think they're saying you you hate you hate me And then they jump out with "gefragt" and you realize that "Oh, wow. They were actually saying 'hast'. 'You have asked me'" Then jumpin into the song, the double meaning is further stressed, because "You have asked me" (probably whether marriage was a good idea). Then, "You hate me" (for not answering). The rest of the song is finally giving the answer. |

| Rammstein – Amerika Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Well, Green Day released "American Idiot" and everyone loves it. It's not that risky to be anti-american anymore. Sexyjedi MOST likely isn't reading this anymore, so I doubt that saying anything to that one-line-post-er is going to do anything. By the way, Americans didn't totally invent Santa Claus... | |
| Thursday – War All The Time Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| They weren't trying to allude to 9/11, but the beauty of poetry is that one may assign any or mixed meanings to it and feel the same emotions. | |
