I've actually heard that it's about him and his wife. As well as him and OLP. As we all know, they broke up during the making of the album, so to me, this was Raine's responce. Considering the fact that in an interview he said that breaking up with the band would be like leaving a brother/s, it's inconcievable, so this song was his apology for doing all that shit to them, being an egotistic fuck at times, etc. |

Now to me, this song is much about people always experiencing bad shit happening to them, but they'll always have a place to call home. Sure ti's cliche', but thats what I reckon. |

Best song on Healthy In Paranoid Times! Sheer brilliance. It's the 4am/Thief/Are You Sad/Bring Back The Sun of this album! Absolutely GODLY! Thank God this album didn't turn out like the abomination called Gravity (which was Good, but come on, OLP is so much better than that). Glad to see Raine back to his ol' school feel of raw singing. |

Wrestling's not fake, it's scripted. Totally different things. Shows, News, movies, they are all mostly scripted, yet you don't see these people complain about them. They are just ignorant hypocrites. But that's just an opinion of mine. I dare anyone here to try jump about 13 feet and get kicked in the chin by HBK like Shelton did. Or, even have the balls to jump 30+ feet onto a matress which is hidden under an inch or two of wood like Shane McMahon used to do. Then, if you still say it's fake, I'll give you your respect.

The fact that Raine's agnostic kind of leads me outside the whole religion thing. I'm assuming this song is about how the world has changed so much, kinda the same meaning behind Spiritual Machines, just not about the machines.. How us humans are losing our ways, we hurt eachother, and so on. Hence the "Did punk rock get it right, is there no future in sight". Raine's very much into spirituality though as well, but this is me contradicting myself :) I'll shut up now. |

People! Sure OLP albums never sound the same, and that's great. But the reason Gravity was hated was because they used easily composed music, with cheesy lyrics. Innocent has some of the worst lyrics and the reason it was hated wasn't because of mainstream sound to it, but because it was too bloody repitative. The album would have been amazing if Bob Rock wasn't the producer as he told them to change much of the music. Heard the Sorry demo? It was bloody fantastic, but Bob Rock told them to change it into what it is today.
The new album (Healthy In Paranoid Times), seems to me like it's going to be great. Some songs I didn't like, but Picture is absolutely beautiful. |

Actually, all the OLP fans I know which I know loved OLP since the early days, thought that Gravity was crap.
And Not Afraid is on the new CD, they have the CD version of it.

I don't know....Gravity was a major letdown to all us hardcore OLP fans....I mean, it was great yes, but still. The other albums were way better. They are becoming too mainstream. Not Afraid live is so much better than the album version...so yeah. Hopefully it will be good. |

Sheer Brilliance
This song is one of the best OLP song's I've ever heard. I know what the song is actually about, but to me, it's about getting dumped by a loved one, the loved one did something to hurt you which was very wrong, such as cheating etc. And this song is about showing them that you can go on without them, you can survive. |
