it can definitly be related to a lot of things.i love this song it has so much meaning behind it, go brand new. i love the ending its so full of thought. personally i think its more about a shaky relationship than anything else. the ship in this song represents the relationship, broken down. after 4 months of complete pain, they finally ended it. and i think the song is a big metaphor for reasons why they broke up. "but the wrong words will strand you come off course while you sleep." "wont have to fight for long" just shows that the relationship is almost at its endpoint...which is where "this is the end" comes in. and the whole ending is just about how they both agreed on this, and neither of them need each other. "a funeral keeps both of us apart" its like saying he wants the other person dead because of all they've done to him. okay despite allt he negative metaphors in this song. i sort of think that hes putting the blame on himself a little. "love is a risk, to always get hit out of nowhere by some wave and end up on your own....' <3 beautiful |

| i think this is a song about an ending relationship. in the beginning it talks about how hes in a car and theres an awkward silence, so im going to assume that this is when she first told him she met somebody new. and then "and you know it's not so easy when you're all alone" sort of shows that she met somebody new, because hes alone and she isnt. and hes the one thats thinking about her. he saw her 12 days ago, and hes asking what shes doing thats fun that she hasn't cared about him for 12 days and hes going to try one last time to try to make her understand what shes losing, but she gives him up anyway and now he doesn't want to care about the relationship he just wants her to realize the mistake that she made. "we will never be the same again until you're done" fucking beautiful. i think it is about having hope, but you eventually do give up. i know i did. | |
