i think the last part - '' I search for comfort and I find it where I've found it many times before Times before can be forgotten'' - is like he finds comfort in the open road and this isn't the first time he's found it there and the 'times before' are the times that made him search for comfort in the first place and in cruising he forgets them.but only max knows what it really means so OH WELL! :) |

Viro you're absolutly right on the freedom issue, as much as we'd like to think we have...we really don't have that much, it could be alot worse though so i won't complain about what i do have. and yeah, there are alot of gun crimes in america and it is most likly because of mild gun laws and stuff like that, and there would be less gun crimes with tougher laws, but there are alot of people who would fight against that so i don't think the those laws are going to come around anytime soon. that is a very good idea to make handguns ileagal, you can't hunt anything with them and the only real use they have is to kill people. and having to obtain a liscence for shotguns is very wise as well. i think alot of people in america would live with that.including me because i am a farmer and a sportsman and hunting where i live is VERY popular.
i wasn't suggesting that they would have got them ileagaly, although it is very possible(due to shitty gun laws) when i made that comment i was more refering to bank robbers and car jackers i guess in short crimes commited more by adults because it is alot eaier for an adult to get a gun ileagally than a teen.
because of hunting i am pro-gun so i can't agree that all guns are stupid, but the way some are used( ie.to kill other people) is stupid.
to anyone who gets pissed off at us for talking about gun laws instead of the music i appologize. |

ok, i know i am extremely late on this but i am going to say it anyway.
not every one in america who has a gun is going to go out and kill people in cold blood.i live a rual area where there are no malls,no skate parks, no arcades, nothing, so we take our rifles and go hunting and take our shotguns and shoot popcans.there are gun laws that are set in america and when people obey them things are safe, its when they don't obey them that people get hurt and if there are stronger gun laws then it might be a little safer but there will still be people who break the laws and who will get a gun some how anyway. and not all public schools have metal detectors or armed security gaurds. my school has nothing of the sort and there has never been any such violence, and to the person who said george bush staged the attacks on 9/11...where the hell did you get this info?is it your own personal opinion or is it a fact?
america is by all means not perfect but not all of it is bad. we need to take a deeper look at things before we judge them(exactly what i think this songs means) and i am not just saying this about america, i am saying this about any country or person or song ect. stand back and look at things before you make a judgment.get to know people and their culture before you critisize them. This songs to me is sort of saying this and here on a post for it are people doing the exact opposite.
but thats just my opinion. |
