there is a lot of solitary imagery in it eg 'i walked across this empty land' which seems like he's alone in the relationship, or they have broken up. Then with the bit about the branches looking at him, it seems as if the 'un certainty' of where it went wron is making him almost..mad/crazy.
The only way to move on is to go 'somewhere only we know' as if that palce where he shared memories of the girl, can show her what they had. May not even be a literal place..but mroe a state of mind...i dont know. |

yeha, i think it combines the fact that the relationship has been about beign there for each other 'you fall on me for everything you like' gives me the image that when she falls he catches her..like literally. The bit about 'this is the last time that i will show my face...etc' i think is sayign that she wants the relationship to end, not him, but he'll pretend that's nto how he feels, so as to make her feel better... and then when the chorus comes in i agree with the above point..that he will continue to be there for her in the future, no matter what.
amazing song ... if u saw the glastonbury footage of this being performed..you'll see how maazingly it was done. :D |

lol i lvoe the focus on the 'in succinct' etc debate... umm yeah when i first heard 'ready...break' i kinda didn't pick up on this song..but i foudn it recently..and when i lsiteneed thru it blew me awya..amazing song..and yeah i didn't connect it to drugs..but more a broken heart...ah everyone has different ideas right! guess depends what ur going thru when u hear it. |

SUCH a gorgeous song, and it is such a simple idea, the boy and girl, theme i think it;s about a guy and a girl who lvoe each other but have had a row about the fact that she won't commit because she's scared... i think. well it's what it says to me anyhow. lol |
