the more i read the lyrics the more i REALLY don't think this has anything to do with sexual abuse. i think it's more about fame. as much as i hate doing this, here we go! "I'd also like to point out how zach garren spoke about how certain members of emarosa weren't talented enough to do their own parts on the new relativity cd, and kurt travis just did an interview with ihatethescene.com and stated that will swan was the one that wrote all bass and guitar riff's for the band. so that makes him a hypocrite." i wrote 99% of all the notes i play on that cd, the only time i didn't is when will had some lead that was incomprehendable without him putting chords underneath, and even then i'd put my own spin on the part. and to clear that up, will only wrote a few basslines for the cd. you can usually tell which ones are his because they stick out. "And I have seen dgd live since jonny and jon and eric have left and it is nothing compared to what they were like with the original line up. DGD say they are such a strong band and almost half the band has quit. How does that make sense?" every member but one (eric) that has quit dgd was bound to happen at one point or another, we just didnt know how long they would last. we all feel this is the strongest we have been. we have the best musicians the band has had at this moment and we are more excited than ever to make more music. if you have a problem with that, bummer. always remember, if you have a problem with music, start your own band. the power is in your hands. i dare you. |

that's how i feel. maybe i'm biased because i helped write these new songs, but i can tell you that we did not put in even one note of "filler" on this album. every note is intentional and has a purpose. everything works together. it may take more than a few lessons to get whats going on, but when you do, i think you'll be surprised. and as for emarosa, we could care less. we had the same guy record our cd's and apparently emarosa had to not only have that gtuy play their keyboard and bass parts because their guys werent good enough, he even had to arrange and structure their songs because they were a mess. basically, that band isn't self sufficient and cant exist without the help of others. thats just plain sad. in case you're wondering, none of our songs were changed when we recorded,.. |
