I agree with a load of stuff everyones said and sorry if I repeate things but:
I beleive it's about losing that special bond with someone knowing whats possible but how shit keeps getting in the way.
The lines about someone hanging on I beleive is to the other person, always having been there liking them and now the relationships over they're being a vulture, even if the other half doesn't wonna the vulture takes advantage of someones vunerability.
I don't wonna make this personal but I truely beleive thats whats going on as it's happening to me now, I listened to this song for the first time in a long while and a loada shits just happend with me n my ex, we're still close but stuff gets stupid. And as soon as I propperly read the lyrics it hit me it's about this kinda thing, maybe Matt didn't write it for that but it's certainly very accurate to how I'm feeling. Cause yes everything bad she feels is amplified and it effects me badly each time she's hurt. ie the name of the track.
Anyway sorry for ranting x |

hey i dnt usualy like think of wot songs originaly ment i think bout what they meen to me. to me i see this song as bein about trust and needing to find the right person for ur trust. and finaly wen u find that person they r just the same as u. anyway emotional song. love it |

i agree totaly with you krazylunitic, i think as metallica get older they keep the metallica edge but change the feal for the music. and again i'll say that the unnamed fealing has to be the best on the album and one of their best ever. a lot of people seem to say that this album dosnt have the feal of metallica, however i feal it does, granted it dosnt quite have the raw power produced from previous albums but its still metallica and a great album. |

this mite not make sence and shit but, to me when i think of this song i think of a so called friend who i dunno wether it were conciously but i felt that like from when i met him he like expected me to e more like him and now he's found out im not he's pushed me away and out of his group. thats what it meens to me. |
