The "brilliant dance" is referring to a beautiful relationship that unfortunately had to end. I love the line that says "and you're measuring your minutes by a clock that's blinking eights" That line says so much.... its about how when people lose someone they really really love they get almost out of touch with reality and don't care about real things going on around them (b/c obviously the clock needs to be set and he doesnt even care...the clock is representing life). And then the part about being invincible..... oh so true! |

I love these lyrics!! So many people can relate to this song. I like the part that says "this bottle of beast is taking me home" b/c its about someone drinking to cover up their sadness. And then the part about reading the letter over and over again and only understanding the part that talked about love....so many people are guilty of hanging on to the good parts of relationships b/c i think after something doesnt work out those good memories are all you have to get you by. |

I really like this song and the way its so honest.... it is about all relationships that end with a break-up where one person is confused and wants out while the other person is still completely in love, but are trying to be understanding and are in denial of their true sadness of the situation! I've been there so that's why i like the song so much lol |

The line "Cause turning to you is like falling in love when you're ten" gives me goosebumps whenever i hear it b/c it is sooooo amazing and speaks for itself. Whenever I think about love at a young age, I think of something fun, and innocent, yet strong (kind of a "soul mate" love). A love that always remains through your life and one that you never forget. He is saying that even though there is distance separating him and the girl hes in love with... they will make it b/c they have such a strong love and it is the one thing he has faith in. |

I definitely don't think that DC has sold out b/c the great thing about them is that you can listen to their songs over and over again and never get tired of them! So how can a band like that truly ever sell out?? But anyway.... I absolutely love this song! It is so pretty and can relate to everyone. Its just about how no one is perfect but you can become a better person and re-invent yourself when someone believes in you. |

This is one of my FAVORITE Dashboard songs! I love the way he puts so much feeling in the lyrics when he sings it and how the chorus is really a poem. I love it when he says "all our fears fall on deaf ears" and "they burned the roads they built to lead us to the light", b/c it's all about thinking too highly of people and getting let down. |

This song is about a girl and a boy that have known each other ever since they can remember. It is definitely from the girl's point of view and when she says "you surround me like a circle" she is speaking of the confusion she feels about how close they are how she doesnt know where she begins and he ends. When she talks about how she was "worth it" and the so called "bomb"... I think the bomb is when she finds out that he doesnt feel the same way about her as she does for him even though she was always there for him. And through it all she still loves him and always will. |
