I heard that this song was about someone who's having a bit of a sexual identity crisis and has fallen fr someone of the same sex so they obviously shouldn't have fallen in love with them and they are so confused about everything. Not only that but this person isn't all together good news, perhaps rejects the person or is trying to keep their own sexuality a secret from others. You spurn my natural emotions You make me feel like dirt And I'm hurt They are being hurt by this person who is perhaps refusing to admit they are together in public, however, because it's love making a fuss wouldn't be worth the risk of losing them And if I start a commotion I run the risk of losing you And that's worse and then basically the song explains what they need to do to make the relationship work I can't see much of a future Unless we find out what's to blame What a shame And we won't be together much longer Unless we realize that we are the same so basically that's meaning number one and I think that the other main meaning is already pretty obvious and well covered by the previous posts |

| I think most people have got this song pretty well because yeah they aren't the most challenging lyrics to read into but what about "Help!" or "Eleanor Rigby" 2 of the Beatles best songs and you can get the gist fairly easily. I think it is pathetic that people come on her just to deliberately diss the song, how pathetic can you get. If you have nothing better to do with your time them I think you need to go out more! | |

Also all you "they ripped off nirvana" people hello Nirvana were a great band (RIP Kurt Cobain) and so what's wrong with being influenced by them.
