| Dido – Slide Lyrics | 19 years ago |

"When I saw Dido live, she said this song is about herself when she was in a depressive stage. She wrote it for herself; pretty damn cool. " Sexy. That's right. Dido is sexy. Also, it IS damn cool. |

| Dido – Honestly OK Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is Dido's attempt at being emo. Sadly, it's not cliché like it should be. It's actually...good. | |
| Dido – Hunter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Really nice stuff. Dido is queen of my heart. | |

What point could there be troubling Head down wondering what will become of me Why concern we cannot see But no reason to abandon it Time is short but that's all right Maybe I'll go in the middle of the night Take your hands from your eyes, my love Everything must end some time Don't burn the day away I have to say, the most touching piece of song poetry just preceded this sentence. Oh my god. It makes me want to cry EVERY time I hear it. Especially "Why concern we cannot see". Such fierce disregard for grammar, and yet...he brings so much to the table. The slight echo of his as he contemplatively wonders, for his lover's benefit, "maybe I'll go out in the middle of the night," is something that I don't think anyone notices, but for obvious reasons is something only Dave and his guys would think to throw in. "Echoing madly about the darkness." Bravo. |

"Diverse opinions are quite nice to view, uneducated opinions are bothersome and demoting of the persons who write them." First page quote. Even though I think the author of this one is full of hot air, I agree with this part completely. |

Maybe it's, "Spoon in, spoon stirring my coffee..." But anyway, it's probably about a woman who closed the door on a relationship with him altogether. Like, "No, I don't want to even know you." That would hurt me more than being hated. |

My english teacher played this song for me. This is such a sad song. It's pretty self-explanitory. It was really touching when he played it.. |

This man OWNED guitar. It he had it bending to his every whim, and at the end, he had it crawling longingly back for more. He had more raw power and emotion...he is the king of grunge, and so much more. GOD. It's that good. This song always makes me think he had someone he admired for her beauty, truly sparkling personality, or something. And longingly, he lets out with his guitar, singing an wonderful love ballad with both his instrument and his voice... Either way, he COMMANDS that guitar. It's wonderful. He has it wrapped snug 'round his finger. I wish I could play like him. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Right Where It Belongs Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This song is too soft and melodically beautiful to be straightfoward, be it about reality, or drugs. This song, really seems like he's singing to someone, not just because of the second-person pov, but also because of the mood. He seems to be saying, "Ok, I've finally let go. But if I could..." I like how the begining of the song is passively aggressive. How it yields into a completely mellow tone is just...perfect. It's the final stage of love, I think. Letting go. |

| The Goo Goo Dolls – Big Machine Lyrics | 21 years ago |

This song seems to be very similar to Dizzy. It almost seems like this song ends where Dizzy picks up. It seems like he is angry because the he has given himself up completely to the girl, and she, hurt by how the world is, is unready or incapable of returning the love. So he has to just wait it out. It feels horrible. It's literally blinding. |

It's about how a girl he loves is not quite open to loving him how he wants. Maybe she was hurt in the past, and he's trying to fight everything that is holding her back from just loving him completely. He's loves her so much. That's where the awesome chorus came from. Isn't the chorus great? |

As an "anti-suicide anthem", this song is excellent...the mood it sets really helpe me appreciate life and just living each day, moment, by moment, with the people who don't even know how much I care. I love when he screams. He's so good at it. = ) |

See my neighbor's beating his wife Because he hates his life I love the way he sings that second line...I wonder if anyone else does..? |

Makes sense. I don't see how people can say that its about the OT when almost everyone knows JC is from the NT. That would be anachronism. But the mother thing should end this, right? |

i find this song hits a personal string, cause someone actually used that line (always and forever) on me. really it seems straightfoward; it's about inner turmoil, and how that played into a relationship, right? |
