This is without a doubt the most beautiful song ever written. This is so much about love and how lovers control their destiny. "there are moments when i know it and the world revolves around us and we're keeping it keeping it all going this delicate balance vulnerable all knowing" This destiny is so fragile that the smallest thing can send it offbalance. But as of now, everything is revolving around them and it's critical that they keep it that way. They're glad they've overcome some things and put them in the past, they're happy with what they have, and there is so much more available. This is my all time favorite song. EVER. It's so perfect. |

I agree with makeartnotmath to some extent. Only I think that it's saying that the outsides aren't everything and circumstances don't always have to be perfect. "Two star hotel, but stars don't mean anything." Who cares what someone else thinks about something, it's not about material value. Also, absinthe is famous for its hallucinations. In the song it talks about someone else going to the hotel with him, but yet it says "Grab a bottle and drink alone tonight." I think that means that he's drinking to get away from the lonliness, but in the end it's nothing but a dream. And my boyfriend is in Europe... not the most comforting song... |

I don't think the song is about a party at all. Even though there may have been a party, I think it's about the fact that he's just waiting on her to make her decision. He's wondering whether he should just save himself the emotional freezing and leave, but instead he sits. Numb, shaking, and wondering if he'll completely freeze, he waits on someone that he can't give up on. Beautiful. |

I can completely relate with this song. He is more in love with a lover than she is for him, and he is basically saying that he'll be there if she wants him. He doesn't care how it affects him as long as he is somewhere near her. He also says that sometimes you just have to let some things go. He's trying to get over this obsession that he has with her, or possibly just the IDEA of her, and he says, "I promise to stop now," as if he is attempting to shake himself of the hold she has. He apparently is used to having unrequitted love in his relationships, seen when he says "letting go is my life, I'll be on my way." This is just a damn good song. I love all of Armor for Sleep's lyrics. They're so deep, and you can't really understand them until put in the situation. |
