This is about an imaginary plague which will sweep through the earth. The midnight graffiti refers to the red cross which was painted on doors during the biblical equivalent. |

Tom McRae – You Cut Her Hair Lyrics

Nothing to do with relationships. Think more about a particular country which "entered" another and destroyed it, in the name of peace. This country's flag is the symbol by which it is defined, and should be easy to guess.
You cut her hair literally means reshaping the landscape, changing the features whilst destroying the country. Turn the page, change your name refers to the country rebuilding. Find you still/move in for the kill is about retribution and not forgetting. |

Tom McRae – End Of The World News Lyrics

It's about the beginning of the end. Watching the rot happen from above. The 'sponsored by God' bit got Tom in a bit of trouble after 9-11 (even though the song was written years before). The song wasn't played on most radio stations. It's about how everyone is trying to regain their youth, or be a success at the detriment of everyone and evrything else. |
