Let me just say, I'm not at all a bible thumper by any means. I don't classify myself as being religious at all. I think this song is about the struggle over losing your faith. What I love about Ra is their music has always had subtle themes of faith and spirituality without it being too in your face. |

Alright the above is a quote from someone on the first page. Ive not only participated with my schools poetry club "thassaphobia" but have also taken theatre lit and other classes outside of school to expand my horizons on various forms of art including music, poetry, and painting. To me this song has a particular meaning about myself. Every lyric i can relate to myself about a specific incident; and many people believe the song is about jesus and i'm sure there are others have meanings that relate to their life like mine does. So in retrospect, Chevelle are good lyricists. They can take a "pathetic incident that happens all the time with guys who do shit just to do shit" and express it in words that have a deeper meaning to the listener. |

Truthfully i dont think they really give a shit about any of the above. They are rich, their albums sell, and their concerts sell out. So they are abviously doing something right. There is just a whiney bunch of bitches that scream they have changed and now they suck, when in reality it is the fans from their old albums who just havent matured past their old stuff. I heard the song, didnt care for it much, and i saw someone posted their was a video. So i went and watched it and it looked like they were just having a litle fun. But then some of you pussies gotta take it so seriously cuz you know how the world and people all. Everyone is serious all of the time no matter what no one can have fun. |

gabelogan99 that wasnt really trivia that was more of interesting fact :) Also i saw these guys a few years ago just after QotD soundtrack was released with sevendust i believe (might have been a different day) at statefair. Then i just recently saw these guys again with sevendust a few weeks ago in wisconsin. Lead singer and band are good on stage they really got the crowd moving and handled the crowd almost as good as sevendust did. As for the Maynard comments. I love Earshot but I dont care much for Tool. I did like Perfect Circle first album but not their second one. I like music for melody more than what their saying. Half the time when i listen to a song for the first time it isnt the lyrics getting me hooked it is the hook of the music. Then comes the leadsingers voice and then what he is singing. Tools sound for their insturments isnt very much my style from what i have heard from them. But i will agree with the lead singer does sound kinda like maynard but imho Earshot is still better. |

I think that maybe this song had something to do with someone contemplating suicide over losing a love one. They lost their love one and they stopped believing and then they had nothing. And by the end in the passage that i listed above he is ready to finish himself off and the last line saying you got what you deserved hows that feel i figured he was speaking to jesus about being crucified. |

Alrgiht first off i would like to mention something about sikNtwisted who said, "Honestly, I hate Britney Spears, it's not my kinda music. I'm into goth, metal and punk. But someone i know got this C.D. and i was on the phone w/ her and i heard this song and i was like wtf? who is that! I like that. This is a great song, the only one i like from her though... " This is only britney song I like also i normally listen to harder stuff such as static-x ra sevendust presence illnino etc. And also in response (im not even gunna scrollup and look at ur name) to the guy talking about matchbox 20. Matchbox 20 failed because they arent very good. It isnt completely about lyrics and on top of that i have heard local bands play better live and their songs have a ton more meaning than i have ever heard in a matchbox 20 song. |
