this song to me just means he doesnt want the attachment/commitment/weight that comes with a *shudder* relationship. he wants to be completely free in love. not a one night stand necessarily, but it could be. i totally agree with them though, to not feel the restrictions that sometimes happen in love, the things that weigh us down and make us forget why we fell in love in the first place, its one of the most trapped feelings in the world. its like, reality and some clingy human emotion has overwhelmed the frivolity of his love. i can relate well to this song, totally dig it. |

group X is hilarious - seen end of the world? (to some post from a while ago) this song is titled come as you are, so the idea i get is to not care about what people think, to just "come as you are" no matter how you are. and i agree with the majority of people who say that KC's death is inexplicable. only those close to him/ he himself can say what really happened and sure, it was a crappy thing, but crappy things happen.

to a quote about alice in wonderland - walt disney didnt write it, the guy who DID though, was on a hallucigenic and also wrote a poem called jabberwocky which is also a movie by a couple of monty python guys....wow six degrees of seperation there.....anyway, that all, walt wasnt even alive when alice was made was he?? i thought he died after snow white....(wow off topic) i thought this song was about a crooked doctor "presribing" morphine to one of the fellows who had developed an addiction...that would explain the comfortably numb part, morphine acts just like that....and it would explainthe questions, becuase they always sounded like he was adding irony or sarcasm when he sang them, so like the person asking didnt really care, therefore a crooked doctor would work - he just wants the money doesnt care if the guy dies or the drugs arent helping. thats my two cents. |

to the fellow who was talking about manifest dynasty - if the immigrants "needed" to be moved, why didnt america just send them to canada instead of creating a belief that the US would annex canada? it came up before an influx of immigration, as someone else mentioned. adn you know what, no matter how hard people try, it is impossible not to stereotype people. if someone walked into a store and saw a white person, a black person and a spanish person, say, depending on the race of the person walking into the store they would decribe ONE of those people as just a person..you can almost always tell in books if an author is white by hwo they desribe people. if they make no distinguishment between man and white man they are generally white also. its that whole like groups to like groups thing. its when you start to believe that one group is BETTER or WORSE than another that you are fucked. different isnt a bad thing, and thats really pathetic that some people dont understand that. dont knwo what all that had to do with the song but the song is awesome and pretty self explainatory anyway- he just doesnt want to be judged. |

what really is the difference between the lyrics of this song and NIN's closer? if trent had written and sung this you would be trying to find hidden meanings to the secret of life the universe and everything but because someone you deem inferior in intelligence is SINGING, repeat SINGING! repeat, is being used as a tool to get this song out there! you can think of nothing but that this song is trash! ok, he says its not about ROdney King, which leads me to think that people thought the reason for therioting was for him, but it wasnt...the best way i can think of it is a large scale rebellion against whatever people have been wronged about and the opportunity arrived to get something for yourself in a place where opportunities are hard to come by...hes talking about the ghetto.."finally got all that alcohol i cant afford" , "screaming 187 at a motherfuckin cop", etc stop focusing on one

ok, what does this song have to do with hating britney...?? if you hate the song, dont hate her, she just sang it. i doubt she has the intelligence to recognize a proper beat and string words together anyway, but thats not the point, is it? the SONG, NOT BRITNEY, is being analysed...remember?? and as for the song, maybe it was about having sex and then the guy breaking up with her...thats probably a pretty close description of the feeling someone would get after such an event - confusion, etc... |
