my favorite album, favorite song, favorite everything. this song makes me write. it puts me in this trance that takes britney spears or at least an hour to get out of. despite all the warnings, i desperatly want to try dramamine. just to get a better grasp on this song.

they got bad at good news. the popularity DID change their music. modest mouse HAD to change their sound for peopel to like them. its just that simple. just listen to this is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about, and then listen to good new for people who like bad news and tell me thats not changed. no one could get popular with the cd long drive, which is why i love it so much. end of story. |

ok all you sick fickle fuckers (geoffk) and other such who say we're stupid for getting pissed that modest mouse so called "sold out" because everyone deserves to listen to them. i am one of those kids. and yes, i am judgemental, and self absorbed (the cool way of course)
but ill say why it pisses me off. because when a good band (modest mouse) starts to become more popular we get kids like addo up there who start listening to them just because its the "cool" thing to do. then you get people who arent passioante about the band. also, the band becomes more involved in money. and if you can not tell, what made modest mouse so great, is slowly depleating before our very eyes. their sound is almost gone. replaced with an over heard one. yes, i realize that issac signed to epic. i also realize that issac just wanted to make this a happy album. i suppose it came off "mainstream". were all over-analizing here kids, lay up. |
