The songs is about elders in power opressing the the youth ( or the youth feel like they are being oppressed) . The younger generation is frusterated by the diffrences and barriers that exist between them and people older them then. Time only adds to these barriers ( these landfills-immortal). Cedric poses the question " will your watch be waiting". Will we except the diffrences between us and the elderly or will we continue to "make thier walkers trip on endless proof". Good song. Cedric is a lyrical fricking genius. All of their songs are like this. |

yeah... it's about divorce. on the amnesiac version of this song, it's sounds lightheaded and happy, while the kid a version is dark, and electronic. The two morning bells are complete opposites, kind of like the parents view of the divorce( on amnesiac) and the kids view of divorce( on kid a). |

i honetly don't thinck that an above post was posted by thom york... any way, this song is about Thom's son and how he wants his son to be a leader, someone to sail us all to the moon in times of trouble. The first few stanzas are thom explaining that he had tried to take a stand for right (I sail to the moon / i spoke to soon) and ultimately failed. He wishes more for his son. |
