At first I was all wtf because of the lyrics but it makes sense what the first dude wrote. Ian was getting pushed for being white in an almost all black school because of slavery and whatnot 100 before our time. Just for people to know, the lead of Minor Threat coined the term straight edge, yes just like the song. And people used to draw X's on their hands so minors could get into 19+/21+ shows & the bartenders wouldnt give them drinks. You should all be kissing Ian's ass for this wise movement. Luckily theres A/A shows to but this was a fucking clever idea.

I hate how mainsteam they are becoming. Obviously it doesnt make them more/less of what they are now but compare this song to lets say "My Number" or "Frozen". Its not only the lyrics style that has changed but also their voices. Does anybody else hear it or is it just me? They are becoming part of the new hipster movement. I wish they would go back and write more music like the album IF IT WAS YOU because this stuff is still kickin' but not in the same stripped down feeling kind of way. |

This song is so amazing. I dont know if anyone else mentioned this, but personally, Creep sounds like (& reminds me of ) of Nirvana. When I first heard it, thats who I thought sang it. Its slightly odd that this song was written over a decade ago, but now is so popular. I dont know about you, but I hear this song almost everday which is ironic.
